Default HD-A35 Echo problems. Help?

Hello,

I own an a35 and whenever I play an HD movie it echoes. I have it set to bitstream. My reciever is onkyo. I'm also not sure, but I thought a35 is suppose to support 7.1 channel, but I only see 5.1 on the a35 setup. Please help.

My friend also has an a35, but never has any problems like mine.

Thank you.

I'm guess you're seeing this at the bottom of the audio menu. That 5.1 is the setup for the analog outputs of the A35, which are only 5.1. If you bitstream the receiver will take 7.1 and output it on 7.1 (if you have a 7.1 setup). With regards to the echo, I have 2 A35s and never experienced the problem. Maybe contact toshiba?

Here is a wild-ass guess on the echo: Is your TV speaker also working? If so, and you have a bit of lip-sync delay, you'd hear an echo. Make sure the speakers on the TV are off.

I agree with Mrspeakers, make sure your TV is turned down or that your onkyo is not set to pass audio to the TV
