Default Maybe this is a dumb question...

I am not too technologically advanced or anything, but what are the best HD DVD Players that haven't had problems?

I have my Blu in my living room, but bought the cheap one at Circuit City a few months back ($100 with Bourne and 300)...I think it's the A-3?

Anyway, I really like it and want to know what to get as a backup should anything ever go wrong with mine.

Then he lived on an island with a bunch a naked savages on it, I mean, that took a lot of guts. You remember when we went to Florida - the heat? And those bugs?......He discovered America is what he did. He was a brave Italian explorer. And in this house Christopher Columbus is a hero. End of story!" - Tony Soprano

A30 for a backup isnt bad, a few higher end features over the A3. You can still get it pretty cheap. A35 would be the best of the 3rd gen but they are hella expensive. A20 (2nd gen) is pretty good to I hear. Never messed with one myself though.

certainly the XA2 is the one to get if you can afford and can find it.
A35 would be next choice.

Well if you can afford it I would say an LG BH200 would be good to get, because it will play both you HD DVD's and Blu-rays.

I have the BD-UP5000 and so far I am really liking it. You can get a refurb for $400 I believe.

A30 is very good for a back-up. I have the sampler platter. The only models I don't own are the A-1, A2, and A-20.
