HD-A2 remote isn't workin

i got it workin, but when i turn it on, it also turns on my A3! isnt that weird?

Have you ever burned a firmware disc on your own?

You can download the firmware file directly from Toshiba (or maybe even find a link to here somewhere?), and use something like IMAGEBURN to make your own CDR.

After you download it to a directory of your choice, you have to extract or unzip the file.

Once you have done that you can burn it to a CDR.

I always do it this way cuz I think its safer than the download route.

How do you have it connected? HDMI or Component? If using Component you more than likely either have 2 of the wires backwards or one not plugged in all the way.

ALL HD DVD remotes from Toshiba work on ALL players BTW..The only exception to this is that ONLY the XA2 remote has the "picture" button which allows you to adjust the Reon upscaling (none of the others have the button) but any remote from any player will still work for all other functions. I mix and match my remotes when the kids take off with them or they fall in the couch/chairs etc. I know for a fact that the

A1, A2, XA2, A30, A3 remotes all work with each other. I am guessing that the A20 remote is the same but that is the only unit I don't have one of so I can't say (The A1 and XA1 are the same unit just one has a motorized door)

The remotes also will work on the RCA 5000 (a rebadge of the A1) and the Onkyo and Integra units (rebadges of the XA2 for the most part)
