Remote Advice

I have a RCA HDV 5000 player.The remote is gone and I need a replacement.
I have bought 3 different universal remotes so far and they will only do the basic functions like play and stop.I need to find one that will actually allow me to access the menu and other such things so I have full access to the player.Does anyone know of a replacement that will do the job?

Check into Harmony remotes.Pricey but you'll never regret spendong the cash.

Yes,all functions as far as i have seen.You connect it to the internet and it has a library of tv's etc and the functions for your devices download into it.
Then you can set it up to start everything you need to watch movies etc at the same time by pushing 2 buttons.

Check out the Acoustic Research ARRU449. It has everything the Harmony's do, PLUS wifi! No hooking up to a PC for downloads. it also has some very handy features like pre-sorting HD content from your cable provider in a on-remote display that includes elapsed time for the content. Nice to find shows without having to fire up the system....

Amazon has it for $180.

email rca and give them the model # of your player maybe they can send you another original remote but have to pay for it probably.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.I will look into those 2 remotes and I have contacted RCA via email.
It sucks I just wanna watch my movies
