HD-A1 Firmware 3.0
I was wondering if anybody has updated yet?
Must be a major update if it goes to a 2.4 to a 3.0.

HD-A1 Firmware 3.0
I've done it on my HD-D1. It fixes a HDMI ERROR problem I had with the 2.4 one.

I went ahead and did the update. Haven't noticed anything different. I never had a problem with the unit anyway. Rock solid as far as stability since I bought it 4 months after the launch of hd dvd.

Just called them about update today and wont recieve it til end of the month because they are doing inventory. I am the same though I dont know what the update does but I have had no problems since buying my HD-A1 in August of 2006. Once and awhile it does flicker a green screen but I just turn it off and back on and it is fine.
