Default just a quick question

I know that my HD-A30 player is region free regarding High Def Movies-how about when playing regular DVD's on this machine is it still region free? Thanks, appreciate your help!

No. While the DVDForum specs allow for region free HD DVD, they still enforce the forum specs for standard DVD region code.m HD DVD players bought in North America will not play anything but Region 1 DVDs.
