For some reason whenever my A30 is set to Multi, it will not output Dolby Digital through my reciever, only PCM stereo. I had it set to 2 channel and it was working great, but somehow, even though I didn't touch anything, it switched back to Multi and I can't figure out who to change it. Can anyone help me please?
Thanks, Jim |

Are you using HDMI (I assume if you sending Multi Channel PCM you are using HDMI)? Are you talking about HD or SD?
If I remember correctly, on HD disc', I couldn't get anything besides PCM out of my A35. Even through Optical, that is supposed to send out DD 5.1, I could only get 2 channel PCM. I tried every setting. I tested with Top Gun, which has a TrueHD, DD+, and DD ES track. Maybe there was just an issue with something not reading the DD because of the ES flag, but all I could get was Multi/2 channel PCM. I never tried analog though. Didn't care though, I use Multi PCM over HDMI, I was just experimenting. I believe Downmixed PCM is 2 channel PCM. Is that what your are using?
