Default Anyone still waiting for $50 Amazon credit?

Is it just me? All my friends who bought a player from Amazon got thier email on Wednesday. I still have not received an email yet. I was about to send an email to Amazon but I didn't know if they were sending out the emails over a period of days or weeks?

Email them. I did and they responded by telling me they placed the credit in my account. I didn't need to enter a code or anything. I see the credit when I go to check out. I did eventually receive an email too.

What were the restrictions on this? The original thread was lost in the recent forum crash.

The $50 credit must be used for an AMAZON purchase and does not apply to Amazon Marketplace third party sellers. Also, the credit cannot be used to pay for taxes or shipping.

I still have not recieved the e-mail but my credit is there. You don't actually see it until you get to the final page of checkout. You will see HD DVD Promotion -50.00.

I have to say that this is extremely generous and unexpected for these retailers to do this for us who believed in HD DVD.

I am using the credit to pick up a few more red box titles (and BSG Season 3).

I just sent an email to Amazon since there was no credit on my account when I purchased Juno about 30 minutes ago.

Hopefully I'll get it soon...

I'll have to send them an e-mail. I purchased my A-2 from them in early 2007 and am not sure the policy covers that far back.

Pretty sure it does. Was the A2 the only purchase in the order? I bought my A35 direct from Amazon in late October 2007. This morning I still hadn't received my credit, so I contacted them by email through there Customer Service page. I had an email back within an hour with my my $50 credit code. I had my A35 mixed in with an order for a couple of HD DVDs, so thinking that's maybe why they missed it. But definitely contact them, they respond quickly.

No e-mail and no credits for me. I purchased an A30 from Amazon on February 16. They probably figure I spend so much money with them, they don't need to tempt me further...

I haven't seen mine yet but I expect it's there. I purchased an A-20 new back in late August of '07. I may give a call tomorrow to be sure it's there.
There are a couple of more titles I could use it for!

And--- I agree that it's gracious of Amazon to extend this courtesy to customers.
Thanks for the heads up!

You sure you didn't get it and just think it was a regular Amazon email and delete it like I almost did! I had it sittin in my inbox and then I read about the credit they were giving everyone luckily before I deleted it.
