Default Cheap HD DVDS at Frys Electronics

I was at Frys Electronics today in Tempe, AZ and most if not all there HD DVDS were between $2.99 and 4.99. Not too many titles to choose from but really good prices.

I saw that too in San Diego. I was tempted to buy the Cat People for $2.99 but resisted.

I got Dog Day Afternoon for $4.99, but there wasn't much else. There were a lot of copies of Black Xmas for $1.99 and American Me for $4.99.

There were quite a few titles at the Seattle store, not all top-tier titles, but all $2.99 to $4.99 (but mostly $4.99): Smokey & The Bandit, End of Days, Battle of the Bulge, The War, Jailhouse Rock, American Me, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The River, The Departed, Dog Day Afternoon, The Interpreter, and a ton of Bruce Almightys! A copy of Sea of Love, too! There were some others, but I can't remember any more right now...

Just FYI, the Fry's in Palo Alto, CA has a HUGE selection of HD DVD's, almost every title available, as if the format war never existed lol.

I think you mean, "as if the format war never ENDED"
Are they also $1.99 to $4.99?

There was a large selection of HD DVDs at Fry's Oxnard area. My friend and I bought a ton of movies. There are still some titles left I want to get.

San Marcos has more HD DVDs than the San Diego store but there weren't too many different titles. I was considering snagging Excalibur, Robin Hood and a couple of others that caught my eye but reconsidered. The San Diego store had only a few titles.

I'm hoping they'll drop the HD DVD add on player to under $20. My HD-D3 is acting up and while I'd rather not rely on my 360 for HD DVDs, I may not have a choice.

I went to the Frys in Fullerton, California and they only had 4 titles. I picked up Groundhog Day. I am going to check Fountain Valley now.

Just picked up 7 myself in Concord. I honestly couldn't pass up those deals when it costs less to own one then rent nowadays.

They have a great selection online (178 titles), and their shipping costs are very reasonable. Almost all are $2.99 or $3.99. Some of the titles that I paid $4.99 for in store were only $2.99 which would have been way cheaper even after shipping costs.

Not any more! I just went there today and all HD DVDs are gone from the main display area. They had one basket with about 15 titles left. Bummer.
