Default Torchwood Season 1 £12.99 @ HMV UK

For those of you who held off getting Torchwood Season One at release, it's available on sale now at HMV.co.uk for £12.99 - less than half the price at release. Shipping to North America is £4.50, making it around $34.00 total. 6 disc set, 636 minutes run time, making it a little over $5 a disc.

Great looking & sounding series, and highly entertaining.

Great price. I ended up paying around $60 for my copy of Torchwood. I don't think this deal will be around for a while, so jump on this deal A.S.A.P.

Awesome! I was hoping this one would get marked down.

Hoping for some fire sales on more of those UK exclusives.

It was $60 - $70 at release in late June, from Amazon UK & HMV. I paid around $70 from Amazon UK when it was released. It was pretty much a surprise when the BBC also released an HD DVD version, and I didn't want to miss out in case there was only a very limited # of copies pressed.

This is surely the last from the BBC, and a good buy for those who held off buying it. Warner is handling the US Blu-ray only release, but I think it's not coming out until November, and it's sure going to cost more than $34.

Warner will have to do whatever the BBC says. But I doubt the BBC will care. Unless HD somehow is still a moneymaker for them
