There is no mention of this online which makes me think that this is probably just store specific.

I have noticed that some stores have had their "own" sales of various kinds with pricing left up to manager discretion. Such as in Barrie, where for many weeks they had titles in bins with "Take an extra $ 5 bucks off each" , "Take an extra $ 3 off" etc.

This isn't an online sale, it's an in store sale in all FS stores. It has been confirmed.

I'm in Ottawa, but on other forums it has been confirmed all over.

Got my $ 12 price protection on my recently purchased Planet Earth, and picked up two very unexpected BBC finds, Galapagos (for 9.99) and Room with a View which I had previously never even seen at FS!!

And it is obvious that the FS's that I check out from time to time are still being restocked!!?!

Christmas keeps coming early with these seemingly never ending HD DVD deals.

Despite trekking all over town the only bargain I found was Happy Feet with a $14.99 sticker on it at FS, went to 2 BB and both refused to pm. FS jacked up the prices before the sale.

Prices were actually up 2 weeks ago - I even commented on it to my wife at that time. I found the best deals to be Star Trek TOS for $27.50, and Galapagos & Blue Planet for $10. Also saw Dreamgirls and Zodiac for $7.99, but because the sticker was left on at one store...

I went to a local futureshop in Etobicoke and the scanned in the HD-dvds at full price at 18.99. I think the sale isn't going on anymore.

The sign is still up at my local FS, but since there is hardly anymore stock there, I didn't buy anything. Not sure if it would hang rung up properly or not. Given the $5 HD sale at Walmart, I can't justify paying much more than that for any HDs.
