Default Onkyo DVHD805 $129 at Shop Onkyo

Great deal on a excellent upconverter and HD DVD player at Shop Onkyo - currently selling refurbished players for $129 - retail price an inflated $899 new. This is essentially just like buying Toshiba's XA2. If you sign up for a membership (free) you earn $10 and get an additonal $12.90 (10%) as a member so the player ended up costing only $106.10 - free shipping. Please note that the price is listed as being $299, but when you sign in as a member the "special" price is $129.00.

Why oh why don't they accept Canadian credit cards? I could have shipped it to a mail depot at the border.

I was just coming in to post this, saw it at AVSForum.

Terrific deal on a terrific player - even though I already have an XA2, I jumped on these suckers at this price. Saw on AVS a guy bought 10 - better act fast!

Already sold out.

I was going back to order a few more. Oh well. Guess I'll have to make due with two.

Same here, Tormond. I'll pay extra if anyone wants to unload an extra one. I saw it when it was first posted, but my credit card and paypal funds are empty until a few days at least.

Hell, I'll pay $200, maybe a bit more.

Not a bad idea maybe great a group together. Use shock collars for when another deal like this comes!

My two players have already shipped. Amazing.

Kudos to Onkyo for powering through orders before the holiday weekend.

What an amazing deal. I paid $500 for mine several months ago and don't regret it in the least. I would have jumped on one more if it was still available. Congrats to those who got one (in some cases, more than one)

Yeah I would be interested in owning one also...why do people have to buy 10 instead of giving people who wanted 1 a chance...
