Default Fry's ?'s (not really bargain related)

These question's are only bargain related if the first is answered yes.
But I thought this topic fit better here than the general hardware area

So here are my questions

1) Does Fry's b&m stores still carry players? (Las Vegas specifically)
I don't have a Fry's in my state but I will be in Las Vegas in a few weeks

2) If so are they at a discounted price?
I'd like a back-up player for cheap, or a combo player for
sub $400

Thanks

Not to be a smart ass or anything, but... wouldn't it have been easier to just call Fry's and ask?

Last time I check frys near me (Los Angeles), none of them had HD-DVD player. But like Centauri said, it best for you to call them.

I didn't think they did but I thought I'd ask before going
also I really don't think it worth it calling long distance to check

...might just swing by when I get to LV just in case

Not worth calling long distance, but worth traveling (long distance) based on a newsgroup posting? Hmm. You must have a really crummy long distance plan.

I somehow missed the long distance part.

Perhaps I should read posts in their entirety before replying to them.

Was just recently at Fry's (I live in LV) and they didn't have any players left. Large selection of movies, some at decent prices, others meh.

The Best Buy up on Charleston and 215 did have 1 open box A3 for 49.99 out on the shelf. Not sure if that would be worth the trip for you. It was still there as of yesterday (7/2).

Was half tempted to pick it up just to have another upscaler upstairs, but I already own 2 A2's lol.

Finding a player that can handle hd-dvd in a brick&mortar store at this date is pretty unlikely.
I see BestBuy runs sort of an outlet store on EBay - and frequently has HD-A30's up for bid that seem to go for reasonable prices.
You might check there.
