Samsung 5000 combo player for 322.99 at BB (Canada Only)
Anyone with a large HD DVD collection might want to consider this player:
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...76&catid=25174 I bought the LG and it's worth it for those who want to transition to Blu-ray going forward. I've heard good things about the Samsung player now that the audio has been upgraded via firmware. Anyone gonna take the plunge?

My local BB had some on Sunday but not at this price. I think it was $499.
I didn't see Canada.

doh, OP should've mentioned for Canada only.
The US site removed the product altogether. Already have 2 of these players fortunately.

Doh, sold out. Wonder if they'll still be at that price when (if) they get more stock in. Although I own a combo player, it's tempting to sell my A35 and grab one of these (if possible).
And yes, Canada only  . Sorry about that.

Best Buy Canada and FutureShop both have / had Canada Day sales, and I'm pretty sure the price was due to the 10-20% discount... Due to expire at 10am. You MAY have a fighting chance at an in store PM with a print out this morning.

Has Best Buy completely removed any combo player they used to sell in the US? I was hoping to get one since I have a giftcard and a 12 percent off coupon, but I don't see any listed on their site.

Dont think they are listing them on their site. But the stores at least the 3 Ive been to in the last few days have a bunch of them. Im just not willing to drop 449 for the suckers (plus tax).
One Store had like 8 of them. One of the others had like 5/6 and the third one I cant remember but didnt think to myself "oh they only have a few".

bestbuy.com has the lg bh200 but it costly ,circuit city is the place to get a combo player ,they have the sammy up5000 for 449.99 and the l/g bh200 for 469.00 have bestbuy match the c/c prices
