EUR 9.00 to ship a disc to N. America? Is that right or am I misreading their shipping rates?

I picked "La Haine" and "Zidane : portrait du 21ème siècle" and the total was a little over $40 so I passed. Each title is about $12.50 plus shipping from France. Not sure if buyng a bunch makes it more attractive, but I am certain it won't be good enough for me to order anything. Thanks for the link, I was interested in trying to obtain a couple titles if more affordable.

Bump.

Amazon.fr has reduced their prices even further. The following imports are now 6 Euros each:

The Graduate
King Kong (1976)
Leaving Las Vegas
La Haine
Arizona Dream

Other titles are even cheaper, but you can get them on HD-DVD in North America for less (it's mostly the same Universal titles that inetvideo.com has). Shipping is rather steep but it's not too bad when you have several movies, and part of it is offset by the removal of VAT from the list prices. I purchased 8 titles when the selection was a little better and the total came out to an average of about $17 per movie, shipping included.

I noticed these last night. If you buy at least seven titles, it's about $5 shipping on each title.

Also, Rambo II is 4.99 Euros and Zidane is 4 Euros.

I came across this a few weeks ago.

Amazon.fr's shipping rates are completely ludicrous.

I'm not sure why people expect great shipping prices these days. With Gas prices as high as they are. I'm actually expecting the shipping prices to go up eventually.

I guess we are all expecting a more reasonable shipping price like amazon.co.uk
so it should be around $5 or less shipping is more acceptable.

With company's having to close down their businesses because of the high cost of gas, we need to be thankful that we can even Get imports without region protection in the first place.

What?

Amazon.fr's international shipping costs are extremely exaggerated. End of story.

with rising gas prices I would order as many discs now as possible from amazon.fr, Exploited, etc. etc
With the continuing weakening dollar imports are only going to keep going up unfortunately.

Private sellers on Ebay.fr charge cheaper shipping rates than amazon.fr.
