For those who are interested, there was one title, missed above that is on the front page of the Fry's flyer...Matrix Trilogy for $24.99.

ah yes have read that, though it is still HD and would be a slight upgrade from the dvd. Have tested a few 2 star reviewed titles here and the quality wasn't that bad.

Though I only want to pay under $15 shipped to Oz..Lets hope Amazon and other US retailers trim the price on them in the near future. I think DD did have it for $15 but missed it at the 20% price now it back upto $21.

I have no idea how much shipping would cost to Oz....

It's $9.99 plus 8.25% tax here in Austin. So, that's $10.81. I could reuse an envelope. How much is shiping to Oz for 8 oz? Each one disc HD DVD typically weights a little under 4 oz.

I don't see I Am Legend in the Orange County, CA add. They have Matrix Trilogy for $24.99 though.

The titles vary by city. Looked up the San Jose Fry's ad and they have Planet Earth HD DVD for $29.99 on the front page bottom corner instead of the Matrix deal.

Also have V for Vendetta, Caddyshack, and Million Dollar Baby, and two Harry Potters

Right, the Matrix was for the Los Angeles flyer. And there was a picture of at least one of the Harry Potters in the inside ad.

Nice. Too bad there are no Fry's around here. All i have left on my want list are Warner HDs. I haven't bought a Warner HD since January, I figured;
1.)Screw Warner.
2.)Screw Warner!
3.) I'd pick up what I wanted when they go on clearance (and screw Warner )

Same here, the closest one to me is 80 miles away. Of the OP's list, I'd want Michael Clayton, Blue Planet, and 2001. That would leave me with Full Metal Jacket DE and Forbidden Planet Collector's Edition left to get. Hopefully some of these deals make their way online with reasonable shipping... Otherwise, hopefully inetvideo finds where all these Warner HD DVD's are being held and breaks them free for $5.99!

I was the same way but for $20 each difference between HD DVD and BD, I gave in and bought Pans Labyrinth and Michael Clayton. I figured, I will not make the $20 difference by watching the BD version more times than on HD DVD.

12345. I was about to post this (just saw the ad a few minutes ago).

I have most of those but Planet Earth HD-DVD for 30 bucks sound tempting but my new PC definitely needs a DDR2 bump (currently has 1gig) so i'm going to Frys to get a 2GB DDR2 stick instead =/

...never thought i'll pass on a good hd-dvd deal.
