Default Yet another Internet cap

The emergence of more and more ISP's moving toward usage caps seems to give evidence that downloads are not likely to be the wave of the future for HD movies any time soon. Many doubters of this point to it only being cable companies making this move, but this no longer holds true. A telecom company has done so now as well.

Full story here.

Excerpt:
Quote:
Cable companies have been at the forefront of imposing and talking about usage caps, because their lines are shared between households. Frontier's announcement is noteworthy because it is a phone company - and it is matching a seemingly low ceiling set by a main cable rival: just 5 gigabytes per month, the equivalent of about 3 DVD-quality movies.
I think it is just a matter of time before we see all ISP's move to a similiar plan, perhaps where you can pay more if you want more than the "average user". HD Movie downloads could get very, very expensive.

DAMN IT! I live in upstate NY! Why do you have to post my local news for everyone? Seriously though, I have TW right now because frontier sucked for speeds but if they do impose a BW cap I'm pretty much f***ed
