Default Batman (1989) removed from Xbox Live?

Hey,

I was looking this morning for Batman (1989) on Live Marketplace so that my wife could watch it before we go see Dark Knight again tonight, but to my disbelief it was gone.

Any idea why they removed this from the video store?

beats me. it's out of print on dvd right now, both single and double disc editions, so perhaps they're pulling a disney and holding it back for a lil bit to "build anticipation" or some crap.

Makes sense. My brother watched 'Signs' in HD on XBL. When the blu came out it disappeared I was going to rent it to see if I liked the movie

nah, if you look at the movies on the market place they have a time table on when the movie will expire probably due to usage rights or maybe an automatic pruning system to allow more content across the marketplace

Blame the content providers. The titles will also usually be pulled when they run on premium movie channels like HBO. This affects other digital distribution providers too.
The currently available titles are always in a state of flux.

Good to know, didn't realize that the titles had an online time table. Anyone know if this is true for psn as well?

It should be. The providers have given a level playing field with all the VOD providers.

also i have seen microsoft take off older titles they listed and replace them with hd options as well. but for the most part it only affects movies and not shows or trailers. most films have a ending date of say 2012 and later. some do end in the same year.

They did take down the History Channel 300 documentry which was fairly cool and offered a correct version of what happend with some mild 300 the filmesq graphics.... Very sad, it was a great documentry.

yes it is... we ended just renting it down the street at a local rental place. The wife liked the movie and Jack Nicholson's performance, but she thought the movie was kinda of a joke compared to the Dark Knight. I love em all though (well I take that back, I love the Burton/Nolan flicks)

i thought forever was good, i liked jim carrey as the riddler and tommy lee jones as two face. I do agree that Joel made it way over the top colorful, but its a much betterfilm then the terrible batman and robin.

I didn't like the look of Two-Face in Forever. We got the real Two-Face in the Dark Knight (IMO). I thought Jim Carey was a good Riddler but I want a more sadistic and evil Riddler if he is portrayed in Batman 3.

nyc the new two face is amazing but remember the cgi stuff was at the time in 94-95 very ambitious to do.

a few films still hold up to this day-- terminator a and t2 as well as jp in cgi.

this new twoface was awesome, but tommy lee just felt better as the villian than aaron did?
