Default CES: VideoGiants Launches High-Def Video Downloading Service

http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2008/0...deogiants.html

Initial offerings will consist of 10 movie packs delivered to the home on an external Seagate hard drive for $159.

Besides the relative low cost as compared to HDM, I find the following part the most exciting:

Quote:
MusicGiants calls this "the first time it's been legal to load high-definition movies onto a media server," because users won't have to commit a felony by bypassing copyright protection in order to load the 1080p/1080i (depending on the source) movies onto a hard drive.

I like the fact you can download to a portable HDD and then plug it in to a Xbox 360 or PS3 for playback. They need to release spec's for the video and audio however. I'd like to see the list of 250 Paramount titles too (if they ever materialise).
