Default HD Computers

I've been thinking about upgrading my system in the next month and wanted to hear if anyone has postive/negative things to say about ACER, I'm looking at best buy that has one of the new 9500 quad core Phenom systems with 4 gb ram, HD 2800 video card, 500gb system, hd dvd/blu-ray rom drive. The link is below.

are you using an 2800 video card that you already own? i ask becuase according to the specs in the link you gave it is a 2400 that it comes with, which is a crappy card if you plan to watch any blu ray or hd dvd. for the price it is a decent deal just make sure to upgrade the video card.

if you want a nice HTPC with an HD DVD reader/blu-ray burner in it, go for HP pavillion elite 9100 from HP direct... i could eventually convert my HD DVDs to blu-rays if i want to and i've had good luck with HP pc's... just don't bother with their customer support line... everyone is in india.

Thanks for that Info, My parent's got a HP that crapped out at day 32, I have an HP Laptop though that's worked great. I don't know now if I'll rush in or wait a few month's to see if a Blu-ray burner find's it's way into a bunch of systems, I just bought the 360 add-on.

For a thousand bucks, you can build a much better machine for a few hundred bucks less.
