Default Lite On Blu Ray Drive Read Only.

I just wanted to know if anyone picked up this drive for there pc? My husband and I want to get a Blu Ray for the living room and I saw this drive is $150 which isn't a bad price.

The thing I want to ask is I have a P4 3.0 1GB ram and a X1650 video card. I can hook my PC into our 46" Sony Bravia LCD tv. What I want to know is will that video card support Blu Ray? I dont want to get that drive and then not be able to use it.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.
Mischa.

If this is the video card than It does say HD video support, the card is fast, You could alway's try it and then take it back if the video ends' up being jumpy. http://www.diamondmm.com/X1650PCIE512.php

We already have an HD DVD player in the living room. We picked up 2 A2's in November when Wal Mart had the sale. For $50 more though it would be a backup if something ever happened to them. I figured it would be cheaper than getting a standalone ya know. I also found out with my video card it does output at 1080i so that would not be a problem. I was just wondering if my machine would be fast enough to handle a Blu Ray player ya know. Thanks for your help.

As for Clearwater it's about 1 1/2 2 hours from us so no. We will just go see the Phillies when the come to town against the Marlins. That's what we usually do plus we go back to PA some time in the year and go to an actuall Phillies game as well.

I'm actually tring to talk my mom into flying back to NY with me so we can go to at least 1 game of the Mets & Yankees before the new stadiums. Which really pisses me off.

Mischa.

combo drive in a pc has an added "backup and conversion" for HD DVD as posted on engadget today...

I actually won an opourtunity to buy tickets to the mets home opener agianst the phillies, so i'm buying the maximum 6 tickets and i just put in for a mets/yankees ticket opourtunity at yankee stadium. i hope i win the op at yankee stadium... best game against the mets... i can break outthat abreu jersey from when he played on the phills and make a sign that says "a mets loss is a phillies win... GO YANKEES!"... so i hope it will happen...pray for me... if not i'll be stuck watching a stupid game like yankees vs indians... wish the phills were playing the yankees this year or yankees were playing the braves... pm me for more baseball talk.
