October 16th has been confirmed as the street date? Also, did you get any word on a Blu-ray version, or is this 100% HD DVD exclusive.

It was confirmed on my order faxes from early this morning. Now that we have this big Paramount annoucement, changes are always possible. My faxes obviously have Transformers on both formats listed, but since the announcement, the Blu-ray version has since been removed from the online order lists we use. Sorry man

Damn, this is the one movie I want from Paramount this year.

Now I gotta go buy an HD DVD add-on for my 360.

The best part of the 360 add-on is that chance or inevitable(according to some) demise of HD DVD. You don't have to invest much to watch some great movies, assuming of course a person already has the 360 console.

Transformers is going nuts on the site. Something like 1500 clicks in the last 24hours. Just to reiterate...this is the date I was given a few hours before Paramounts HD DVD exclusive announcment. Could Oct. 16 change? Sure. I have my sDVD version with the same info, as well as a required pre-order date already for my order. I just thought I would state this again, as HD Addicts is being mentioned on several movie news sites............which is good

Transformers has just become my most viewed, and clicked on title. Over 2500 hits, surpassing every other title in only 2 weeks. I hope to see 250,000 of this disc sold at release date. HD DVD supporters need to make a massive statement to Paramount, that their decision was the right one.
