Even Rene Zellweger in Bridget Jones' Diary only weighed in at 136 pounds. So it depends on this girls height. RZ is 5'4". I personally think this girl definately was smaller than RZ as Bridget Jones, but she appears a few inches taller than RZ. So I would peg her at 130-135 pounds, not even close to 152 pounds.

Actually, here's what a 150lb female woman looks like, and they both have the same look/thickness and shape as the actress Kate in Paranormal Activity. So, the girl in Paranormal Activity is definitely 150 pounds:

Perhaps you're right. I was starting to agree with KYThrill, but those girls you attached do have the same body type as Katie from P.A.. So if they are 150, then the girl in P.A. is, too.

I'm going to look at pictures of what my 104 lb fiance looks like. Then I'll decide if Katie from Para Act is 40 or 50 lbs heavier.

Oh wow. Now I don't agree with KYThrill. I'm back to agreeing with my first assessment and Frozenpinky.

Here's an actual picture of my fiance at the petting zoo. She weighs 104, so this is what 104 lbs looks like.

The actress in Para Act is definitely way bigger and thicker...etc. Katie's arms, chest, thighs and tummy are thicker (again, not FAT, but Katie from P.A is BIG) So, Katie from Para Act is more along the lines of 148lbs. Definitely.

Anyone want to wager? $100 bucks PayPal?

If you were to use her as the yard stick, the girl from Paranormal Activity is 200 lbs! But then of course, Anna Nicole Smith weighed 200 pounds when she did her reality TV show (and is what Kirstie Alley currently weighs), and no way is this girl that big.

And here is a pic of Melissa Joan Hart from Dancing With The Stars. She is a bit thicker gal, and she weighs in at 118 pounds currently. Thick arms, thick legs, not really a belly, but a thick mid section, and that is 118 pounds. 30 more pounds is a huge difference!

R.Z. is quoted as putting on "28lbs for that role". She was already 115. So 115 + 28 = 143.

That tennis player is taller than I am and has muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. That's why the first rule of thumb when working out to try to lose weight is "Do not weight yourself" - because you wont be losing pounds. You'll be burning fat BUT you'll be gaining muscle

I know that Renee is purposefully slouching in that picture to make herself look "sloppier" and "heavier", but, I saw the actual movie Bridget Jones and I saw Paranormal Activity too, and I'd say they are about the same in motion (not stills).

So, that being said, it IS true that Renee put on more than 25 lbs for that role (she ate like 20 dontuts a day), and she was not 105 lbs before that. She was about 115 to 120 before taking that role. But I'll go along with both Katie (in Para Act) and Renee (in Jones') being 143 lbs each.

As for Melissa Joan Hart, her thighs are not near as thick as Katie's were in Paranormal Activity. One of the things I kept repeating to myself when watching Paranormal Activity (both in the theater nd on DVD) was, "my God, her thighs her so big" - I do not get that from Melissa on Dancing with the Stars.

No, she wasn't 115 at the time. She gained 28 pounds to hit her target of 136 pounds, the weight of the Bridget Jones character. She weighed 108 when she started the weight gain. 108+28=136

Fat is volumous. Fat has 20% more volume than muscle per pound. So an extra 30 pounds of fat leads to a much larger size. That is why the 150 tennis player I linked doesn't look large at all. Her weight is all muscle. Imagine she has a 24" waist. Convert muscle to fat and she goes up to a 29" waist.

And MJH is only 118 pounds. I never said Katie was 118. I said 135, so her thighs and belly would be bigger.
