Default GREMLINS vs GHOSTBUSTERS vs GOONIES

GREMLINS vs GHOSTBUSTERS vs GOONIES

It's a battle of the fun "flicks that start with a "G" and came from the 80's.

No contest. Gremlins all the way. I'd put Goonies second and Ghostbusters a distant third.

Goonies. Easy winner. I think I was 6 when this came out. Chunk was the coolest cos he said "Shit". I was easily impressed. Gremlins / Ghostbusters, I just never really got into 'em.

1)Ghostbusters
2)Goonies
3)Gremlins

It annoys me that nowadays they dont make movies of that quality anymore. There has only been one movie made in this decade that i enjoyed and that was Rocky Balboa, and addition to a classic series.

Are there not enough writers out there? or are the writers just too lazy to use their imagination? 80's movies were very well made and have been ripped off ever since by other people.

I thought explosions help move the plot along? So, you need a story too!?
I agree, there is a total lack of imagination from movie writers in the past 10 to 15 years. Rocky Balboa was a great movie, but it was also wrote by someone who remember what makes movies good.

By the was I chose Ghostbusters, but Goonies was close.

"Ghostbusters" is the best film of the three in my opinion. You needed to include more 80's G films in the poll. The 80's was probably the decade with the most films with a one word title starting with Gh since in addition to the likely winner of this poll, there was "Ghostbusters II" and "Ghoulies". I would guess that "Ghost" was mostly filmed in 89 and released during the summer 1990. "Glory", "Gandi", and "Gojira" are other 80's G films but not very many of the 80's G films are Golden.
