Default Would you buy South Park seasons 1 - 11 on Bluray?

As of this moment, only season 12 of SOUTH PARK is on Bluray, and it looks killer!

But, I put in a bunch of other seasons these last few weeks (I've watched season 6 - 10 so far) and I dont think there's a need for these episodes to be put in Hi Def.

I'm sure it would be nice to fill the wide 16:9 screen instead of being a square leaving black bars on the left and right..etc. But, there's something about those older seasons that just dont need to be ported to Bluray?

I think its that the textures in the graphics of the older seasons..etc They dont look as good.

At least in season 12, they put detailed textures into things like couches and walls..etc. Even the perspective of the scenes illustrations are better.

So with that said, if all the seasons were avail on Bluray, would you get them? All of them? Some of them? None of the older ones?

The animation since about season 9 has been fairly (consistently) decent (by SP standards at least). Having seen season 12 on BD I would think some of the more recent past seasons would benefit rather nicely as the style and textures seem to be largely similar....

And, as I don't own all of the seasons (particularly 9, 10 and 11), I would buy some of pasts seasons on BD, sure.

I own none of the SP season currently (usually watch them online) but I would certainly consider buying them on .

Trey Parker and Matt Stone consented to having every episode available for free online, so it really depends -- especially if there is a good way to just watch them all for free on my ps3. I've heard of people successfully finding legit sites with all the episodes, and playing them on their ps3 -- although I've had no such luck

Since I can get them (1-9) on netflix I would have to say no. I can't see much benifit to having South Park in 1080P. Great show though....

11 seasons x $45 each? I mean, I like South Park, but it's not really worth that price to get all the seasons on blu when Trey and Matt agreed to offer past episodes for free.

my main thing is I already have seasons 1 - 11 on DVD.. Do I try to sell those and rebuy them all on Blu?

My other thought is; we know that the native frame was 4:3 ratio, so if they bring all those old seasons to Bluray and make them 16:9, they must have to really ZOOM UP on the image, losing lots of top and bottom

I would definitely buy 1,2&5. I would also buy the movie in a heartbeat!! The movie had to be one of the funniest movies ever. Maybe this time Paramount would put in some of the Deleted scenes since they did not do that in the DVD release.
Mischa.

I have 1 - 8 on SD DVD and have only taken the first season out of the wrap... i just dont see myself spending 70 bucks or what ever it costs for a season on something that i personally doesnt look that great on normal dvd im sure it will look even worse (production wise) on Blu ray. Dont get me wrong, I used to love south park and If money were not a issue i would prob buy them but being realistic i only tend to buy Blu rays that i know will be really good in high def. WE were at the Video store and we thought about getting Burn after Reading on Blu Ray and we were like... wait whats the point, get it on SD DVD.. just dont see the point in southpark on Blu ray other than to fatten the creators pockets and i could spen that 70 bucks on several blu's
