The Proposition, Body Heat, Transporter 2, 30 Days of Night, Alexander Revisted, The Host, Shinobi, Mr. Brooks, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer... many others. Fortuantely I got most of these movies onsa le for fairly cheap so it wasn't that bad.

Have to say White Noise 2.
Even A good lead couldn't save this one.

Ratatouille was a boring movie that I actually feel asleep too. Sure it looked and sounded good but was still a waste of $30+.

Wow, that's a difficult one.

I'd say "300" on HD-DVD.
I looked forward watching a historical epos, but at the end it was only a mediocre comic adaption.

Films I enjoyed the most include: The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, Harry Potter, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Underdog and Narnia.

Blind buys for me, so far, has not been that great for 2009. My first 2 blind buys of the New Year were very disappointing. Bangkok Dangerous and Appaloosa. I was really looking forward to Appaloosa (bought it last night) and I just thought it was dull and kind of boring. I undertood that it was a very character driven...but the characters were just...meh. Just was not what I was expecting...which was a bit more action (aka 3:10 To Yuma).

Chicken Little. I rarely go for the blind buy, but I had good intentions for my son. And it wasn't even good enough for him.

D'oh!!

Bangkok Dangerous, is the most recent. It was bad, and not the bad is good kind of way. Cage was nasty to watch on screen, and I wanted to shower him down with a firehose and cut his damn hair. The original is so much better, even with the Pang Bros directing this one. I just watched Appaloosa , and i'm with the previous poster It was a let down, plus Renee Zellweger was annoying as hell.
Is it me or is she just sinking very quickly?
I liked The Host, but the directors earlier movie Memories of Murder is almost a masterpiece, I Highly urge you to see it if you haven't. I don't think it's on BD though.
I also bought The Signal, and sold it immediately after watching it. What a turd ! I do agree it starts with promise, then lays limp for the remaining two-thirds.

Out of my 33 Blu rays total...

Worst:
300, It's a ok movie just over hyped.
Ratatouille, looks and sounds good but found the story and move to long(fell asleep).

Best:
Casino Royale, great looking and entertaining series reboot flick!
Weeds Seasons 1-3, I just wanted a TV series in HD picked up the first season and was hooked!
Tropic Thunder, awesome blind buy!
Incubus: Alive at Red Rocks, not even a big fan of the band but this disc sure sounds and looks good!

I have to agree on Hot Fuzz. Simon Pegg is a very overrated comic actor. Shaun of the Dead, Run Fat Boy Run, just not very funny.
