Default Condition of you hi-def movie collection?

Just wondering how important the condition of your BD/HD-DVD/DVD collection is to you.

Is know some people get totally OCD with things like wrinkles in the plastic on the cases or glue residue on cases from security stickers etc.

I try and keep all mine mint, It bugs me when the stickers leave residue, but not to the point of buying a new case for it. I watch them put them back in the case and back on the shelves.

All of my discs are in pristine condition. My only problem is with my A Clockwork Orange disc case. The bottom of the Elite case broke, but that's not near enough to kill me

I also hate those black RFID tags that Disney puts in their BD cases. I always want to peel them off, but they won't come off!

I try to keep the cases looking as nice as possible, and I get the residue off when I can, but im not anal about it. I AM anal about the condition of the disks though. My 9 year old Lost in Space DVD still looks flawless!

Not a single one of my movies has a scratch or dirt on them. I have almost one hundred blu-ray/hd dvd's.

OCD to the extreme. Discs, cases and artwork are perfect. And I have a collection of severed hands from people who touched my movies without permission.

I'm very anal about the condition of my movie collection, and my player as well. For example, when I get a movie in from Netflix I will clean each and every disc first before watching.

I shake the case before I buy a hi def movie. If I hear it sliding...I will pick out another copy. I dust off the tops of my cases...even though the cases are closed and no dust can get in. That's about it.

Im super anal about my collection. Sticker residue drives me insane. I go as far as making sure all the cases are perfectly aligned so it looks nice.

I can't stand stickers or tags or adhesive residue. I will get goo gone and clean the residue off. If a case is broken, it gets replaced. I toss the inserts unless they are about the movie. The Disney RFID tags are definitely the worst. Only had one come off without getting the goo gone out and rubbing it for 5 minutes. I wish they would just put the tag on a piece of paper and insert it in the box like some Fox titles do.

Pretty anal. All my cases come from sleevetown so they all match. I need to order the 2 disc ones now that they have them in

I am a long time AV junkie - and I expect I bring new meaning to the word "anal" as regards my collection. I keep everything in pristine condition and stored properly and do not loan titles out.

And I have benefited from your "condition" as I'm the one who bought the UK-import HD-DVD "Planet Earth" from you for a pittance because the enclosure was slightly bent!!!

And it's GREAT!!!

There are a few things I can overlook: slightly worn cases, wrinkles (from factory). I must get sticker residue off and my discs must have no scratches. With two kids in the house I've grown to accept the fact that one day they'll want to touch my cases; better not open them up and mess with the discs though.
