Unfortunately, not legally. The closest thing would be the Apple TV or Vudu box, but both are pretty expensive. There are ways of getting HD rips of the net, but its illegal and I wont discuss here.

Ok, I will. Apple TV supports 720p HD movie rentals through iTunes. You can only rent the HD movies, not buy them. And the HD option only shows up when your using the Apple TV, it wont give you the option in iTunes on a PC.

As for Vudu, its always supported 1080p HD movie rentals, it says so right on their home page at vudu.com.

Unfortunately nothing out there does that right now. Both Apple TV and Vudu only let you purchase TV shows and Movies in standard def. Besides illegal stuff, the only way to permanently own HD content is HD DVD or BluRay.

Have you looked into importing??

I am not sure how the israel currency holds up to the dollar/pound/euro but perhaps importing could be the way to go.

Wait, iv forgotten the best solution. You say you dont mind watching on a PC right? Just import an xbox 360 hd-dvd drive and plug it into your PC. They cost like 20 bucks over her now.

I just took a look around and there not as easy to find as they once where. Newegg used to have em for really cheap, but I guess they sold out. Xbox.com has em for 50 bucks, but your best bet is probably ebay. You can find em new for ~20-30 bucks there.

Power source, and a usb connection to your pc.

Ebay has them for uber cheap, some finishing at like $9 total bid.

Also - if you get one, Ill send a free hd dvd if you pay shipping, just to get you started.

Me: So then your claiming NPD #'s, correct? No, I dont think the NPD will estimate that the ps3 outsold the 360.
James: Your statements are an excellent example of a strawman argument.

WTF????
