I have Sanyo AZ500 (Projector) an old 42 Marantz HD Ready without HDMI and considering a Panasonic 50" monitor my question is if i play an 1080p movie could i enjoy the whole 1080p or ill see exactly like a 720p movie?
and if I cant enjoy the entire 1080 will it get stuck or can ruin my device? Tnx, LeorD |

whatever the resolution of the display is what you will see.
So let's say you feed a 1080p signal into a 720p set. well the tv will take that signal and display it as 720p. simple as that. just make sure the display device can accept a 1080p signal. ![]() many people get confused because they read that the display can "accept" a 1080p signal, but what the advertisers fail to say is that the display might not be able to "output" or "display" a 1080p signal. No tv that is 720p can display a 1080p signal AT 1080p resolution. make sense? |

if the projector is 720p and is fed a 1080p signal it will output the signal as a 720p signal onto the screen for viewing as long as it can "accept" a 1080p signal.
