Default Suggest this be made a General Info sticky

Marine, this is very useful information. I suggest this thread be moved and made a sticky in the same catagory as 100 years, 100 films.

How come you are not county each Matrix movie as 1? You just lump them all three into one, but you don't do that with Pirates?

Matrix (for now) is only being sold as the Trilogy. Since he's classifying them as being HD DVD, that's the only way you can get them. That's what I assume at least. Pirates are sold separately.

Marine , if you wish to maintain this over time. I would be happy to sticky it.

One suggestion. Can you edit your list to color code the items by format, like the AFI ones.

Moving thread to General Discussion Both formats.

Sure, you can sticky it. I'll keep up with it daily & color code it for easier access. The site link I put at the top is updated daily. I'm sure there's people that want to keep up with the Blockbusters & when they are released.

This site has given me alot of information so I'll be glad to contribute back.

I also corrected "The Matrix" films as seperate films in the confirmed release section even though they are being sold as a boxset. If there are any other corrections that need to be made please send me a PM or post in this thread & I'll correct it. It took me a long time to do it but I think I got everything right.

You won't believe how long it took to do this. I do it for the love of movies.

If there's any corrections I need to make or anything to make it more easily readable like I said PM or post a response.

Kali said she would sticky it & I'll keep it updated. IMDB updates the alltime movies daily.

I hope it helps you guys out like it does me.

the OP was talking about US box office, so therefore it might be best to stick with US releases. Otherwise you're right... the water will be muddy. Because it goes both ways as there as lots of japanese releases for Blu-Ray which in the US are HD DVD only.

I can't believe some of those movies made $100 million. 2 Fast 2 Furious? I mean, I know it had Eva Mendes, but damn....

That's a great list, and I'm sure it took a lot of work, but it also goes to show that a $100M box office doesn't mean it's a good movie in the least. Out of those 80 titles already on HD formats, I consider almost half of those as total crap and not even worth a second viewing, much less a purchase.
