Default How long before you watch all the movies you bought this year?

With all the sales of HD DVD disks (and to a lesser degree Blu ray) I have acquired a stockpile of disks from around the world..

I know there are many people here in the same boat.

My guess if I stop buying now I might be able watch them all by the end of 2009!!!

(Well I know I will still be buying so maybe I will never get through them)

You guys just don't watch enough movies. I watch 1-2 a day... at least 8-9 a week (but watch little else). I purchased about 60 movies for $2-3 from Big Lots recently, and I'm 2/3rds the way through the stack. I'll be done by end of August at the latest.

Not counting box sets, I only have around 120~ movies. Around 70 are HD DVD and the rest are DVD. And 90% of them have been purchased since December.

There's only three or four titles that I haven't seen, and they're all DVDs. And I'll probably finish them off over this month.

Man, I wish I were in your situation. I have like 70 's and over 50 's and I've watched 'em all at least twice. I'm always fighting the urge to buy new movies but it hasn't been too tough as of recently because there hasn't been any "must haves" recently or any significant deals. Good thing I just got blessed with like 10 more HD cable stations the other day. That should tide me over a week or two

Its not that we dont watch enough movies we cant find the time to. I enjoy doing outdoor stuff during Summer. Hate being inside. 1 - 2 movies a day is a crazy lot. Damn thats alot of spare time. I dont watch much TV either during the summer. So we probably watch 2 - 3 movies a week.

I try and stay as active as I can because winter around here is like 8 months out of the year.

During the winter we might up it to 5 - 6 movies a week.

We must have 80 movies to still catch up on.

8-9 is generally my weekly output if not more and I still have a hughe "to watch" list, but then again, when you get stuff in the mail to review it is stuff that "has to be watched" and it pushes purchases down at times. In fact that is the only downside to writing reviews, but the obvious upside is lots of free discs (now if only I could write for an overseas site, I'd stop importing).

3 HD DVD movies still waiting to be watched. Not that many, really. Of course, there are also a couple of movies in my collection that I have already seen, just not in HD.

I'm glad Jaws started this thread. It put me onto watching the ones I haven't seen yet. I've even taken the time to mark the watched ones on my DVDspot page I hammered out 5 movies this weekend I think. I have Fantastic Four sitting on the coffee table but it's 7:00pm right now, I have to be up at 2:30am so I don't know Sleep is good but so are movies.

I usually watch any new blu-ray I buy within a week of buying it. I don't have any that I haven't watched of the ~80 or so I own.

In fact, I wish I had a TON more because I've run out of movies to watch at the moment! There's still at least another ~80 at this point that I would consider worth owning though.

God knows. Finish work late, start early so I can't really afford to stay up until the small hours watching movies. Been working a lot of weekends recently too so I guess I'll have to wait until about Christmas to get a prolonged break!

I'm in the same boat. I can't stand being inside in the summer. I'm lucky if I watch 1 movie every 2 weeks. It'll probably take me until spring to watch all the movies I own.
