Default DTS HD MA or Dolby TruHD intros?

How come their arent any new short intro/demos for the new lossless formats? you kno like DTS and (rarely) Dolby Digital use to have on dvds? those were awesome!

Whilst it would be NICE to see, say, a DTS or Dolby 'intro' on High Def discs - it's more a 'question' of :

"are consumers really interested in getting more 'delays' before the movie actually starts ??"

Using my 'experience' with these 'trailers' (for thats what they almost are), I honestly CANNOT STAND seeing the Dolby Digital 'Helicopter City' clip on Region 4 Sony discs anymore - and SKIP them whenever. Its OLD and everyone has seen it !! I like(d) the Train one - hate the 'Rain' one - and the 'Temple' one is OK.

(added - unless you have really good speakers - you probably DONT get that much of a 'sonic' experience !~!)

The DTS PIANO clip used on DVDs is getting old and boring as well. SNORE !!

IMO - probably NOT seen by the majority of Average Joe's because I don't even think that most consumers consider changing the 'sound format' when that option is available.

As for HiDef media - gee... its thankful that HDDVD never had those clips at the start of the film - the LOAD time for the disc, menu, film was LONG ENOUGH to deal with.

i dunno they always got me pumped, the DTS ones at least, the only DD one I had seen off a dvd was this really lame one in space with some sort of aurora borealis that turns into the Dolby logo and you hear a "ping" in each speaker(really lame). I saw the other DD ones too and yeah they do suck...but common that old DTS one with the CD, i loooove that. maybe im just nostalgic

I miss them too. I liked seeing the Dolby water droplets trailer before Metal Gear Solid started.

I have a DTS/DD demo disc with tons of US and overseas intros. It also has the Episode 1 pod race in both DD and full blown 1.5mbps DTS! It's one of my favorite DVDs. I'd most certainly welcome TrueHD and DTS-MA intros as long as they're done well.
