Default Retailers Report Missed Street Dates for HD DVD, Blu-ray Discs

While we've seen plenty of reports of high-def discs hitting shelves days (and even weeks) ahead of time, apparently the opposite is also true, with some retailers and video rental stores reporting delayed shipments for HD DVD and Blu-ray discs.

Well BD & HD DVD being a new format which obviously makes the manufacturing process new. So, it was only a matter of time before they had a hiccup, still one week is not such a big time delay to wait for your HD fill

I thought the part that mentioned the apathy of retailers was interesting. Retailers don't yet see a big market in Blu-Ray and HD DVD, so it's not like they're too worried if they miss a release by a couple of days. And as long the manufacturing houses know that, this problem may be slower in getting solved.
