Default Exorcist Anyone?

I remember hearing whispers about a possible HD-DVD release of my all time favorite movie The Exorcist. Well it looks like that isn't going to happen but I was wondering if anyone heard of a possible Blu Ray release?

Just check the front page every day. It will be posted there when the news hits. They also have an accurate release date schedule. Bookmark it and you'll always know whats coming and what has already come out.

I certainly hope this makes the jump, and I'd love for it to include the Original Theatrical Cut as well as the DVD released "Version You've never seen" cut. Including the "fear of God" documentary would be pretty sweet as well. All in all this movie would be creepy as hell with a good remaster and solid 7.1 mix.

I seen it back in the day it was in it's theatrical run in NYC. It scared the hell outta me then and seeing it on dvd in both the special edition and the version nobody's seen scared me just as badly as it did back then.

I can only imagine viewing a HD transfer with state-of-the=art HD sound would blow anyone away.

Warner would be smart to release both versions for, say, this Halloween...I'd bet it would do a lot better than most of the horror films made today...

"Merrin!!!"

... anyone care for some pea soup??? LMAO...

I'd buy that day one for sure. One of my top 10 movies of all time.

With Fox releasing the OMEN series on BD this September, my marketing hunch tells me that THE EXORCIST from WB is in the release works somewhere. Maybe next year?

I would hope they release the theatrical cut, not just "The Version You've Never Seen Unless Of Course You've Seen It By Now in Which Case It's the Not-As-Good Version You've Seen".

I agree with Josh. I want the theatrical cut. The Exorcist along with Halloween are my favorite two horror films.

I hope by Halloween Warner comes out with this.

Josh didn't you like the backward "spider-walk" Linda Blair did shown in the "Version You've Never Seen"??? I though it was more than a little creepy. Actually I'm a fan of both versions pretty much equally.

They can fit both versions on a dual layer blu-ray disc without sacrificing quality.
