Default Spouse doesn't "get" High Def? Try this!

My wife is pretty indifferent to High Definition. She watches SD TV on our 1080p set frequently, and being a good husband, I go along even though it drives me nuts. When it's "my turn" I put on a Blu-ray and enjoy. She says she can't tell the difference.

Today, when she said that, I told her "that must be like when you can smell things that I can't smell, right?" She laughed, and said really, it's like that? I think that made an impression. Either I get to watch more Blu-rays, or at least she cuts me some slack when she says, "do you smell something?", and I'm like, "What? I can't smell anything".

Married guys: Am I right?

Well Women do have a better sense of smell then Men...its fact.

I dont know if Men have better vision than Women though...

So next time you go to a strip club, and some stripper rubs her ta ta's in your face, that "stripper smell" will rub off on you. When you get home get ready to explain.

I'm fortunate my love enjoys hi-def more than I do now. She insists on buying something every week now and was instrumental in getting me to add the Onkyo system to our TV. I'm not going to argue with her

When it comes to the five senses men got the short end of the stick.

Women have statistically less chance of being myopic or suffering from color blindness.

So if your wife ever says this doesn't smell or taste right, listen I do.

At least you don't have to watch Tila Tequila.

What the hell is that little centered box that MTV tries to pass off as HD? And btw, man I hate Tila Tequila.

My better half does not care about HD at all, she thinks I lost my mind with having both HD-DVD & Blu-ray.

My wife doesn't really care about hi-def. Although she can tell the difference and does agree that it looks ALOT better than SD. But if it were only up to her we wouldn't own any HDM... --heck, if it were up to her we would hardly own any DVDs, as I'm the movie collector-and she'd probably still have some VHS tapes, using the logic that as long as they worked she would see it as wasteful to replace them!

My wife could care less about anything HD. Now my kids....they are hooked!! My daughter loves to watch with me. My son does too but not as much (too busy AIM his girlfriend and friends). My daughter watches a movie with me every Friday and Saturday night. I look forward to it evertime.

Default Hi-Def in the household

My wife enjoys our large 1080p lcd TV - including having high def cable service and a HD DVR. The old S-VHS deck was a royal pain for her to program and she would avoid using it at all costs. However, using the new HD DVR is a complete breeze and she loves it and uses it.

She is completely satisfied with our standard definition dvd's played upconverted - and couldn't care less about HD-DVD or blu-ray - but she humors me . . .
