Default Indiana Jones SD DVD triple Steelbook edition.

I have heard good things about how good the Indiana movies look upconverted. Heavens knows how long it will be before we see the movies released on Bluray....so tomorrow I am picking up a Futureshop special Steelbook collectors edition.

I wonder if the new movie coming to the theaters will be the first released on the Bluray format?

well I'm assuming these are new hd mastered versions, so they should be reasonable approximations of the bds, and be much better than the old dvd boxset versions.

The old ones have that nostalgic look, so in my opinion, this remastering is pretty much a waste of time and money. The old ones are fine until they come out on blu-ray with excellent pq. No reason to dabble in between poor sd and excellent hd, especially when it isn't cheap like this.

Pass, I've been duped by George Lucas before. I'll wait for it to come to BD.

Well I don't own any of the movies but want to watch them again before I see the new movie in the theaters....so I am going for the new steelbook set.

Reviews I've seen all say they look JUST LIKE the previous releases? DVD Beaver shows a lower bitrate for the new one, though. Do you have some secret information here?

I think we'll see the Indy Quadrilogy on blu-ray when Indy 4 comes out on DVD but that's just a hunch of mine.

Everything I've read suggests that nothing is different on these disks apart from bonus content. This isn't a remastered version.

Ripoff. Same movies as the last boxed set with some boring crumbs added to the special features.

My local Blockbuster has had the movies and more stuff on sale since Friday. These are the same exact movies with the same menu and with all of the extra features spread accross each disc. I can't reccomend this to anyone. If you had the original trilogy in the brown packaging, just keep it. The only nice thing about the new DVDs is the box art.

The best deal about this release is the option of buying just the first movie, if you didn't like either of the sequels. (I know some folks who despise both Temple and Crusade). Sorta like Godfather, I know people who waited for Godfather to appear by itself and skipped the whole box set.

well that's beyond pathetic then.
I figured they had re-done them and were releasing them on sd before the Blus hit in the Fall maybe. sorry about being totally wrong on that.
