Default Best movies for a double-dip to HD

What movies in HD offer the biggest improvement over their SD-DVD counterparts for making a double-dip purchase? Either BluRay and HDDVD format movies included. Obviously, anything in HD will offer some improvement, but what movies have you noticed the biggest improvement in?

I just watched The Illusionist on DVD last night - it REALLY needs to be on high def. The posterisation was awful.

Instead of straining your brain about it, just read the reviews and look for the ones that you are thinking of double-dipping to begin with and if they have at least 4.5/5 in PQ, buy them.

I think you're missing my point. I'm asking people what really jumps out as an improvement, not just which movies have good PQ. Some SD-DVDs look very good on their own, but sometimes a movie may not have been great on SD, but either looks or sounds fantastic (in comparison) on BluRay or HD-DVD. It's not necessarily what I might be double dipping on but what someone else may have found to be an excellent HD disc that I, or others, may not even have thought about.

2001: A Space Odyssey (I have the HD DVD version). When I first got this disc in high-definition, it was like watching the movie for the first time all over again. It was nothing short of extraordinary, in comparison to the SD-DVD counterpart. I was completely and utterly amazed, and that's the one that I remember best.

This was actually my second choice behind Blade Runner.

Amazing how good a movie can look that is so old. I wonder how much it costs to remaster a title like this.

Im not a huge old movie collector but one movie that has REALLY impressed me on HD and being a really old one from the 30 is The Adventures of Robin Hood on HD-DVD. It was filmed in 4x3 so its pillarboxed, but when I watched it, it makes it difficult to tell it was filmed back then.

Action movies, other visually/aurally stimulating movies that will benefit the most from upgrades in Picture and Sound Quality.
