Default This is a multi-part question.

1st. I am trying to see who here has spent the most money on HD Movies. Blu or Red or both.(Just a guess is OK)

2nd Who owns the most total movies? You can combine Blu and Red

3rd. Who here owns the most players? That could be a combination of both also.

4th and last. If there was no format war do you think you would have bought more or less?

OK 1 more. how many movies do you think you got for free and what were they Blu or Red.

I have 112 blus and 52 reds. I have the 60gb PS3, the Samsung bd-p1200, and 2 HD-A30's. I am planning on getting either the Panny 50 or the Sony equilevent. Per month, I would hate to see how much I have spent on hi def movies!!! This is the one small reason why I am glad there is one format now...less damage on the wallet. If I had to do it over again, knowing what I know now, I probably would have spent less on red and maybe not even go purple. I thought we were going to see this format battle brew longer than it did. I still think was more consumer friendly and the better format. just had to much support.

But I,,
Have spent over $4000 on High Def movies
81 53
A30, 360 Add-on PS3 40gig
I would have not really bought more if there wasnt a format war,, i would have just bought the ones I own on BD on HD.

I got about 10 Free BOGO items..
Never turned in a rebate form for either format.

80 Reds: 30 free $1500
9 Blu's: 1 free $240

Toshiba A35 + A3 that I returned $300
LG BH200 $600, sickest player I've owned
PS3 $400

About $3000, which isn't bad considering the great hardware I got for years to come and all the flicks I got for free.

I probably would have continued to purchase Red if they didn't fold, they had more titles I wanted, but either way. I'm happy the so-called floodgates are open and soon enough we might be able to get all the titles we really want. Instead of buying shit, just to watch HD Movies.

I'm sure that I don't have anywhere near the most, but I'm surprised how fast I got into the game and what I've accumulated. Toshiba really pushed me into HD around October and I'll never forget that feeling I got from watching my first HD DVD. Clarity and Concern. The later of the two is for WTF am I going to do with all these SD DVD's.
