I just finished off the old AFI 100 list this past September with The Searchers on HD-DVD.

I am currently working on the 400 that were nominated for the original list. I am currently at around 250 of those.

I had a lot of the 100 on SD and am now buying any released on HD.

Prod, check out post #27, I have been trying to keep that updated, your list is the previous list, they changed the list for a 10 year refresh. Let me know if you see any changes that are needed and I will put them in. Thanls.

It's a Warner Bros film.

In fact, for many people, it's the archetypal Warner Bros film!

"The Graduate" was released on HD DVD MONTHS ago. You show it as only "scheduled." It should be shown as purple.
imo the titles that have ALREADY come out on HD DVD should stay purple to show people that they came out. Like "2001", "The Wild Bunch" etc.etc.
I mean if the point of the list is to show which movies are available on either format, it needs to be revised for accuracy. That much is clear.
You could include an icon next to the one's that Warner is planning to stop making--at the bottem of the list the icon would stand for--"Warner is scheduled to cease releasing this title on HD DVD" or something like this. Not really that hard to do.

Hmm didnt know that. guess I Thought it was Universal because it is Hd-dvd exclusive now. Will have to pick it up when it comes to Blu.

honestly if Kali doesn't want to keep up with this thread it needs to be closed imo.
another sticky could take its place.
Anybody else agree with this sentiment?

Many Warner Bros films now start with a picture of the studio lot back in its heyday (I'm assuming the picture is from the 1940s or so) that turns itself into the Warner logo while the song "You Must Remember This" from Casablanca plays on piano before transitioning into the Warner Bros. music. It truly is their flagship classic film. And it looks like by the end of the year, it will be Blu-ray exclusive (once the HD-DVD goes OOP).

Or someone that wishes to keep this updated should be able to take over and start a new sticky thread. Either way, I agree. This isn't even the newest list and since it's way outdated, it serves no purpose anymore.

Well, my point is that this should be "un"-stickied and you should be able to start your own thread so your list is the original post.

Great post, thanks for info

I watched the AFI list slowly come out on DVD back in the 90s. It will be interesting to see how the list fills out over time.
