Nice read. Only real quibble is regarding "Heroes."
While it is very nice, it is NOT the tv release of the year. sorry.
that honor definitely goes to "Star Trek: Season 1."
If you grew up watching these episodes over and over like I did you know instantly how absolutely breathtaking and revelatory this restoration and remastering is even with the controversial changes. THE HD release of the year imo along with "Blade Runner" and "2001."

I must disagree with Halloween being in the worst catagory, but that just the majority of opinions.

I thought Battlestar Galactica would make it into the Worst section. Would have made a nice counterpoint to Heroes, from the same studio, too.

Interesting that there weren't any categories this year, but it's a good best/worst list. I too would liked to have seen the Star Trek box get some love - despite the fact that it's a combo set and really expensive, it's one of the best HD releases of the year, bar none.

I think Planet Earth has gotten MORE than enough love already. Insert random prostitute, "love" joke here. ____________________

What about Lost Season 3 in Blu Ray? Much better than Heroes.

Nice list. Although I would have included Planet Earth or Bourne in the list.

Still no vote for 28 Days Later as one of the worst transfers?? Good movie, bad disc.
