I think DreamWorks and Paramount should be separated. New Line and Warner were. DreamWorks held off releasing until recently as well, remember?

I think Fox should have had a D- cause of what they did with ID4
Warner did good and I agree with the grade. Beyond that I'm not worried about the others.

Universal ended with Timecop? Common Josh, Uni also ended 2007 with The Bourne Ultimatum, The Kingdom and Eastern Promises. All three of those day/date titles were superb; they did not disappoint anyone, and could end up being some of the studios most popular HD DVD titles amongst their big catalog of hits.

12-28-2007 04:58 PM #8Significant?? Where is the data on this "problem"?The studio also continues to use the DVD/HD DVD Combo format for all day-and-date releases, which is frustrating considering that a significant number of discs in that format wind up having glitchy playback problems.
I have many combo discs and have not experienced a problem on any of them. -

Seeing as Universal and Warner are only releasing day and date HD DVD releases in the lame combo format, perhaps they're actually under the delusion that people who haven't entered the HDM market might spend $25+ to be "future-proof" (an oxymoron in an undecided format war)? I had thought they were intentionally bilking HD DVD owners such as myself for a few extra quid until Josh mentioned that, but who knows? Irrespective, I wish they'd just ditch the thing - not HD DVD, just the combo format.

the points are spelled out pretty well, not a single company got a perfect grade since each one made plenty of blunders.
Brad1963, Universal DID end their year with Timecop. The Kingdom, Eastern Promises, and Bourne Ultimatum all came out a few days before schedule, leaving Timecop as their last release of the year.
I just wanted to point out the hilarious line at the end...Bringing in Opera to class up the joint, and porn studios for doing the opposite. CLASSICNate Boss

It's a cheap, corny, popcorn movie full of plot holes and cardboard charectors.
But hey, that's okay I guess, because by the end of it everyone is happy and the whole world can rejoice now that they too have a reason to celebrate on America's Independence Day.
Note the lack of subtly in the above sarcasm. That's dedicated to Roland Emmerich and his wonderful directing style...(Signature Deleted For Rules Violation) -
