Default Warner Announces Kubrick Films for Blu-ray, HD DVD

We'll be creating dedicated threads for all four films in the announcement but for now, discuss here Warner's new announcement:

No specs yet, but very exciting to finally get 'Clockwork Orange,' '2001,' 'The Shining' and 'Eyes Wide Shut' in high-def!

I am glad they are not forcing people to buy a box set. They are all awesome movies but some I'm more interested in owning right away than others.

I was really hoping they'd announce Barry Lyndon, but I'll take what Warner is dishing out for now.

I, for one, am glad that this is coming out on blu-ray and hd-dvd. Because of all of these are classics, especially the shining. The shining upscaled looked good, but the hd will look even better. No full-screen format, please!

I second that on the "no full-screen, please!" We know Meester Kubrick preferred this but ugh....use the zoom button if ya need it.

I think more than just blurry-ness was added to Eyes Wide Shut. I thought I remembered some flower pots were also CGI'd in to hide the humpin'.

By calling these remastered special editions, does anyone think that might mean that 2001 will have some updated special effects? i think shot-for shot space CGI shots would be nice. some of the models look rather cheap.

There was a review on here that explained the widescreen ratio:http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/shiningse.php
It's good.
