Warner Announces Kubrick Films for Blu-ray, HD DVD

Have you looked at the back of the Eyes Wide Shut Cover? It has the R-Rated Tag on it!?

Anyway... the Kubrick movies have been announced in Switzerland for the 7th December. I will get my local release of Eyes Wide Shut. This way I don't have to import and I can be sure that I get the Unrated Version.

Yup, but it states the Unrated AND R-Rated versions!

Well, technically it's not a set since they are all individual releases, so there is still hope for Barry Lyndon at a later date. More confusing, however, is that Barry Lyndon is being released in a new remastered edition on standard dvd only on the same date, October 23. Perhaps past sales figures show that a hi-def version of that particular film is too much of a risk this early into the life of hi-def?

actually it is a set on DVD part of Warners new Director's series line but the weird thing is
the set only includes 2001, clockwork, FMJ, eyes wide shut, and the shining plus a documentary but also coming out the same day is Lolita and Barry Lyndon

No specs yet, but very exciting to finally get 'Clockwork Orange,' '2001,' 'The Shining' and 'Eyes Wide Shut' in high-def!

The Shining in HD... Nice.. can't wait...
