    4K ain't bullshit.

    You can tell.

Even in some very mundane things. Is it SD to HD? No, but im like 12 feet away on a 65 inch watching Easy on Netflix.

To me, its akin to how supposedly the iPhone is a "retina" display, but the higher pixel dense android phones still definitely look much better.

Yet when I go back to my iPhone it doesn't inherently bother me. 🤔

I've had the massive conversation on resolution. It isn't as important as most think. It's there, sure. However, there's a tier to how the human eyes work. I still stand by the massive pages I spewed against Wellinformed.

I will never argue against the importance in VR. That's a completely different animal.

The 4K Format isn't being sold on its resolution, it's being sold on features that could work with 1080p if the format got an upgrade.

2k is ideal for human eyes. 1080p is just slightly under that.

His comments were regarding a 65" display, which is generally accepted that 4K makes a difference and is noticeable.

HDR isn't just about better colors, the end-result is increased detail, which is always helped by higher resolutions.

Wow, great price! If the new models go back to $5K, then we're in a unique window where you can get one this cheap. There just isn't as much competition for OLEDs, so little incentive to drop price.

That's the E6 model, I only have the B6, and that's less than I paid! The E6 has 3D, which would have been nice, it also has a lower speaker bar (which I didn't want, I don't use the TV speakers). The screen is the same (as far as I know). That's a great price!

"More than 67% sold" - It's gonna sell out at that price.

To clear up the speculation: @digitalfoundry will have an exclusive Xbox Scorpio reveal on @eurogamer this Thursday at 2pm UK / 6am Pacific.

I've explained ad naseam about this. 2k is about what the eyes can decern off a screen when sitting within the average 8ft away.

Increased resolution displays are more apparent when dealing with VR or close promoxity. Tech reviewers understand this. Paper spec people don't.

It's about increased color space and color resolution. So, yes, colors.

We now have two 4K TVs that replaced 1080p sets, and the difference is quite noticeable on both. That's good enough for me, any hypothetical discussion on why 4K isn't a big deal kind of falls on deaf ears at this point.

Speaking of 4K, I picked up a 4K FreeSync monitor and an RX480. This is a work computer, not for games, but thanks to Xbox Play Anywhere, I was able to check out Forza Horizon 3 and Gears 4, just to see. Pretty impressive.
