PS3 update - 3.15
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2009/...e-update-3-15/
Available 'very soon', whatever that means.
Some cool features though - and no, I'm not talking about cross-game chat.
For one - psp minis will be able to be played on the ps3. if you buy a psp mini, you can go to the download list in the store and download it on the ps3 for free.
The second main feature is probably one of my favorites - although, I wish it would have came out back when I was shuffling around ps3's.
This feature enables you to easily transfer all of your saved data from one PS3 to another. So if you decide to get a new PS3 you can make sure you don’t loose any of your existing content. Content such as games, game save data, and videos downloaded from PlayStation Network can be transferred to the new PS3 system and deleted from the current PS3. Other content, including personal media files (photos, music, videos), can be copied onto the new PS3 and remain on the current PS3 system.

What's a psp mini?
2nd feature mentioned sounds like they listened to the fans who complained about transfering data from 1 system to the next. Didn't think it was that hard anyways to begin with but good to know there's an option for it now.Jose Mourinho, AVB & PDC fanboy - FORCA PORTO!

and that's not saying GT5 is a bad game by any means.. -

I hope they address some blu-ray playback issues with this firmware. I couldn't finish "Funny People" on blu-ray, it just froze.

Exact same thing happened with me and two copies of Kagemusha. Same exact spot, too. Everything else runs perfect.
But yeah, 2nd part is cool, but the Minis thing can also be fun. This just means Tetris can now be played on your PS3!
Edit: A PSP mini is a PSP game that is (If I remember correctly) less than 100MB to download and is generally a smaller game. The idea behind them is to get all of those game developers that make games for the iPhone to now make them for the PSP. Sony is also apparently helping out Independent developers in this cause by making PSP dev kits cheaper, but I can't confirm that.My Setup

I think psp mini's are little micro games you can buy, something akin to games you would see on the app store for Apple. I've never seen or heard of any of the psp mini games though.
I'd much prefer to download full psp games and play them without owning a psp.Proud member of the BATMAN club and the CAT SQUAD... it's not what you think.

The PSP minis are little PSP games that only cost a couple of bucks. It's Sony's answer to the DSi-ware "Express" games. They're aimed at young kids and not at all intended for folks like us.
Good move on Sony for creating a proper file transfer utility. I've heard some horror stories from people who bought slims and had to spend hours re-downloading all their PSN games. -

I wonder if that means previously locked saves can be moved now. I'd love to have my SF4 and RE5 saves on my slim....
