I'm eying both Indiana Games, The Dig, and Loom.

Here's hoping they re-release Grim Fandango, and Escape from Monkey Island.

Yeah...I lost my copies. I have no clue where they are. These re-releases are making me keep XP. Windows 7 is going to open a whole heap of frustration when trying to play these older games. Granted...emulation works too.

That's how I'm playing these games on the Mac. I'm not about to pay $50 for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade for the Mac, when it probably wouldn't work for OSX anyway.

Once I build my new PC, I'll buy these off Steam.

Just got Wheelman, Prince of Persia and The Force Unleashed at Gamestop's $20 sale and picked up Eat Lead since it was $30.
One thing they do now, I noticed, is they have these platform wars, like "Xbox is better than Playstation." That's nerdy to me. What the fuck is the matter with you?

I picked up the new Harry Potter (PS3) game on a whim. That and it was 15$ off at amazon yesterday. Here's hoping for some easy trophies.

I've never cared for WWII stuff so I avoided the onslaught of those shooters a few years back, but upon hearing that CoD1 would be in the SE of Modern Warfare 2, i figured I should go ahead and get the only IW-made CoD I wouldn't have.

Plus Battlefield 1943 has tought me that even if I don't care for that period, if the game's good I can overlook it.

And I'm hopeful that Monkey Island will do well so we can get the other Lucasarts Adventure games eventually. I really wana try Grim Fandango.

Grim Fandango is right up there in my book. One of the (in my opinion) two best written adventure games in the genre. The other being The Longest Journey.

Is Monkey Island like a Kings Quest/Space Quest type of game?

Yep a point and click adventure game.

A really cool is that you can switch between the new and original versions on the fly. Just hit the Back button and the game morphs to the different version, including going from textual dialogue to voice overs and vice-versa.
