My biggest gripe with overlord has been answered in 2!

Through the course of the game, the little buggers acquire a lot of spoils, as well as some unique weapons and gear, and the old game made for some serious annoyance when some of your best minions inevitably got themselves croaked. For the anal-retentive, such losses would mean reloading from a previous save, or the difficult and inevitable decision to just say "to hell with it." Overlord 2, on the other hand, keeps track of the accomplishments of your beasties, gives them names and titles based on their exploits, and most importantly, offers the option of resurrecting (at a cost) favored minions -- who return with their levels and equipment intact. With particularly high level minions this can become expensive, and necessitates the weighing of resources between maintaining your best minions or using those resources for forging new weapons and armor.

So after murdering a chef boss, the minion that wears his hat can stay with you! lulz.

Nice thread. I also thought that this was going to be a user-review write-up thread, which would have been cool too (lot's of potential problems with that though, especially in game room)

No love for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor? It's only got 2 reviews so far for a total of 80% but still!

This week i'll be going down on Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor (DS), Overlord 2 (360), and Pangya (PSP).

I want to buy that, but i'm going to wait for an amazon sale. I just can't get into DS games like I want to... still haven't finished Suikoden Tek...

It did get GI's handheld GoTM.

Just got to chip away at it slowly. It took me over a month to finish, mostly I'd just play for 20-40 minutes before bed and then leave the DS on while plugged into the charger.

oh i know.. it wasn't intended to be. you know i could of made it much more SD worthy! i was just saying, and having fun with it.

MLB the show though, is the definitive baseball game.
