Hey, I was gonna post the Ken and Ryu image

in the Streetfighter thread, that Ken Cracks me up.. and with Ryu's height, the artist says.. you know Ryu is supposed to be Japanese right?

Some other highlights include Gordan Freeman, as the artist really felt he should be, meek and ammo-conserving (not heroic like usually portrayed)

ya gotta admit the wolf shirt with the usa Zubaz was a stroke of genuis though, even if you don't like his art style!

I think the ryu and ken one is funny. I like ryu a lot - but he's supposed to be japanese, and looks as non-japanese as they come.

It's a trend I've recently noticed (as I don't watch anime etc) that the japanese tend to draw themselves to look a lot more like westerners (with crazy colored hair etc).

Especially when it comes to the facial structure. Wonder why that is??

It should be noted as well, that these were just meant as personal sketches so he could work on his inking, they were never intended for wide distribution, but I thought they were interesting.

I can't believe you had the Zubaz. Did you go with the zebrastripe?

i had them when i was about 6-8 years old, i had notre dame, chicago bears, and pittsburgh steeler zebra stripe prints

they were terrible
