I'm not knocking you for it, that's exactly how I am. I've "wasted" so much money and only beaten about 30 games in my whole life.

Way too many to list, but here are the counts:

Dreamcast - 40
Super Nintendo - 22
GBA - 8
DS - 39
Gamecube - 17
Wii - 32 (not counting VC or Wiiware)
PSP - 8
Playstation - 53
Playstation 2 - 55
Playstation 3 - 10 (not counting downloaded stuff, maybe 10)
XBox - 39
XBox360 - 75 (not counting downloaded stuff which is probably 50+)
PC - No idea (not much; maybe 10)
Mac - 22

I think I might have a problem letting stuff go. Maybe.

I'm not an ADD gamer. I'm a compulsive game buyer.

Like I just bid on ICO. Fuck if I know if I will win it.

What's ICO? I know there are a few rare games I'd love to have, but I'm hoping they come out on PSN or get re-released.

Ico is the title that preceded Shadow of the Colossus, done by the same team as SotC. It's also another one of those "Games As Art" titles that get frequently cited when trying to argue for the medium.

Basically you control a kid with horns and try to escape from a massive castle with your helpless female companion in tow. It's mostly an environmental puzzle solving type game (a la Tomb Raider, minus guns, but with shadow creatures) where you have to figure out how to traverse each level but also reshape it so that your less agile friend can eventually rejoin you.

Very good game, another PS2 classic in my estimation.

Good grief that's alot of games weasl. Do you like the .//hack series? I heard you really have to read the manga, play the games and watch the anime know what's going on, since the story gets told through all threee mediums.

Actually the reason I posted the thread was more to create a conversation around the games people own, so if someone has something your interested in you can talk about it. But yes, I've not completed many of them, though I've played through most of them part/most the way.

Many believe it is actually a prequel to Shadows of the Colossus

Yeah, I've heard that argument too, although I believe the general suspicion is that SotC is actually the prequel to Ico.

Spoiler:
A lot of that has to do with the fact that Ico is a horned boy is supposedly a sign that's a descendant of Wander from SotC, and the shadows Ico fights are variants on the shadows that escaped from the Colossi when Wander killed them. There's also some speculation that the girl Wander revived ends up becoming the Queen that imprisons Yorda in Ico.

It's all speculation since Ueda himself refuses to definitively comment on it and prefers gamers to come up with their own interpretation, so for all we know it could be perfectly valid.

Damnit... I wanna read the spoiler but I haven't finished Shadows of the Colossus yet.

Looks like you're right... according to wikipedia

Successor
Main article: Shadow of the Colossus
A spiritual sequel from the same studio, with an atmospheric style similar to that of Ico, was released in October 2005 in North America and Japan, titled Shadow of the Colossus (ワンダと巨像, Wanda to Kyozō?, Wander and the Colossus). The numerous indirect references to Ico observed throughout Shadow imply that there is a connection between the two games. On March 9, 2006, Fumito Ueda, the creator and lead designer of both games confirmed that Shadow of the Colossus is indeed directly connected to Ico and that both take place in the same universe. He also confirmed that Shadow of the Colossus is a prequel to Ico. [12]

My list is way too much for me to recall, as I still have all my games but they're scattered through several houses at the moment. I've had an NES with dozens of games, SNES with another couple dozen, N64 with about a dozen, and Gamecube with just under a dozen.

For these purposes I'll just list my current gen stuff.

PS3:
Battlefield 2
Cod4
GTA4
GT5p
MGS4
LBP
R2

PSN:
Aquatopia
Elephunk
Pixeljunk Monsters
Pixeljunk Monsters Encore (expansion)
Pain
Tekken 5

Likely Future additions:
The Last Guy
Fallout 3
Killzone 2

WOW, Ok Richie Rich!

I've actually been cataloging games and movies I have so I can keep track of them all for awhile now, so it was pretty easy to list them all. I haven't even posted my DS/PSP and PC game collections. That would make it even worse.

Updated my list to highlight finished games in red, which I think is a pretty nifty idea as well

.hack is probably one of my favorite series out there, it's pure raw entertainment, but it has it's grinding (it is supposed to be a MMO world) If you want the full story watching the TV series helps, but you can easily get by on what's presented in the games.

And yes.. -.- I have an addiction as far as purchasing games go lol. Just picked up Crysis Warhead and Stalker: Clear Skies today.
