Default XBOX 360 Messenger Kit

What do you all think of it? I got mine open item, no box but brand new. I got the chat pad+mic and so far it's good. Anyone know of a way to cover up the white part of it to be black? I got an elite so i'm wanting to match it. I was thinking of covering the chat pad and spray painting the white part all black with a krylon can.

honestly this is one kit I"m not interested in that much... The only part of it that sort of interests me is the KB, assuming you can actually use it to input stuff into games and such... even then it wouldn't get used frequently.

It's funny. Having all these "prepaid cards" makes me want to buy it. However, that'd be the only thing I use it for.

I think it's pretty handy to have. I hate having a full sized USB keyboard plugged in so this works out perfectly.

Hmmm, never tried a USB KB on the 360 before? That works? I might just keep one of those handy instead....

All I know is that it makes the controller feel more like an Atari Jaguar controller, and I likes it.

But seriously, I've had this thing attached to my controller for about 4 months or more now, and It's really great to have. If you use MSN Messenger or send messages a lot, then you will love this. And it also comes with another headset, if you need one.

I have one and love it. I do message back and forth with a couple friends, so it it much easier/faster. The extra headset was a bonus. I am saving it til my original headset takes a dump.

I'm happy sticking with the USB keyboard for now. Plus the messenger kit doesn't work well with FFXI.

Definately nice having a keyboard to use for that.

i love it. i used to have my usb keyboard hooked up to it, but then i would always have to get up and get it to start typing 1 sentence. i know i could have used xbox.com to type a message too, but it's just easier to use the chatpad. well worth the $20 i spent at cc when it was on sale.

Thanks everyone with the input and I agree with everyones positive feedback stated above. I use it for msn messenger and also sending a text message to people while i'm playing. I don't have to have the pc on now to use msn messenger so this is helpful to me and the extra headset is a good deal too and also the chat pad fits right in with the controller and it makes the controller feel good and it even has a backlight on the key pad.

I have one, and love it as well. I spray painted it black to match my black controller I got with my elite 360. I always send little texts to people instead of voice messages. Mainly because I spend most of my time playing games by myself, and honestly who just sits in there chair playing offline games by themselves with there headset on for no apparent reason....?
